Corniche is a cafe dining & bar located about a 10-minute walk from JR and Sanyo Himeji Stations. The most attractive point of the restaurant is the superb view of Himeji Castle and the city from the 7th floor of the building, where you can enjoy Kobe beef and other specialties in a relaxed atmosphere. The spacious restaurant has 220 seats at tables and counters. The counter seats overlooking Himeji Castle allow you to enjoy both the view and the food in a luxurious atmosphere.

During lunch time, the “Mixed Plate Lunch,” which includes fried shrimp and hamburger steak, is very popular! Other special set menus such as “Pasta Lunch” and daily changing “Service Lunch” (*only available on weekdays) are also available. We also have menus that allow you to taste high quality Wagyu beef such as “Himeji Wagyu Loin Steak” and “Wagyu Hamburger Steak”. The restaurant also offers a wide variety of brand-name beef steaks, including the Kobe Beef Extra-Top Loin Steak, which is especially popular among foreigners.

A beer garden can be enjoyed on the rooftop terrace “Rooftop Garden”. You can enjoy a barbecue without having to prepare any cooking stove or foodstuffs. Vert is a popular bakery that uses organic, pesticide-free matcha green tea in its baked goods. Located on the south side of Kaloyashiki Ato Park, a popular photo spot with a view of Himeji Castle from the second floor window. In winter, you can see the entire castle as the leaves fall from the trees in the park, and at dusk, you can see the reddish color of Himeji Castle in the setting sun. Depending on the season and time of day you visit, you can enjoy various views of Himeji Castle.

The store’s products use organically grown matcha green tea from Nakai Tea Works in Kyoto. The “homemade soft ice cream (regular)” mixed with matcha and Hokkaido black soybean kinako (soybean flour) is popular among foreign tourists. The combination of bittersweet matcha and savory soybean flour is so delicious that once you try it, you will want to come back for more. If you want to relax in the store, we recommend the “Cookie Set,” which includes three kinds of matcha baked sweets, soft serve ice cream, and warm hojicha (roasted green tea).
