110 lockers are located inside JR Himeji Station, right in front of the Shinkansen ticket gate. When you arrive at Himeji by Shinkansen, this is the closest locker to the ticket gate.

If you arrive at Himeji Station by JR conventional train, take the escalator leading to the Shinkansen boarding area. The lockers are located immediately to the left of the escalator.

Once you exit the ticket gate, you will need your train ticket or admission ticket to re-enter the station. If you do not plan to return to the station, use the lockers outside the station.

Located right outside the station! One of the largest coin lockers around the station! 

Go out the central ticket gate of JR Himeji Station and turn right. There are 214 coin lockers located in the corridor to the right as you exit the North Exit.

No need to worry about rain and wind with indoor lockers!

Go out the central ticket gate of JR Himeji Station and turn left. Go out the South Exit, turn left, pass the coin-operated lockers in the passage in front of Nippon Travel Agency, and turn immediately left into the building to find the entrance to the shopping mall “piore Himeji”. There are 117 lockers in front of it.

(D)MONZEN

Free Coffee, Tea, or Soft Serve with Luggage Storage!

Just a 5-minute walk from the north exit of JR Himeji Station. Cross the pedestrian crossing toward the police box on the left after passing through the station plaza, then continue behind the police box to find the tourist information spot “MONZEN” on the first floor of “QWELL Himeji.”

At MONZEN, staff members personally receive and store your luggage at the counter in a dedicated storage area. Large luggage that does not fit in coin lockers can also be accommodated. In addition to cash, a wide variety of cashless payment methods are accepted, including credit cards and e-payments. Customers who use the luggage storage service also receive one complimentary item — coffee, tea, or soft-serve ice cream (takeout only). It’s a nice way to relax before starting your trip.

A travel concierge is always available inside the facility, making it easy to ask for travel advice and recommendations. The first floor also features a food stand serving local ingredients and a store offering carefully selected items themed around Hyogo Prefecture. On the second floor, there is a gallery where events are held irregularly.

About a 5-minute walk from the North Exit of JR Himeji Station. Ticket reseller “Clean Market” is located next to Matsumotokiyoshi at the entrance of Miyuki-dori Shopping Street, which runs parallel to and one street east of Otemae-dori Street connecting JR Himeji Station and Himeji Castle.

Luggage storage is available during business hours for 800 yen per piece for large items such as suitcases, and 500 yen per piece for small items such as backpacks and handbags. Payment is in cash only.

Furthermore, currency exchange is handled at the store. The store offers the exchange of “foreign currency cash into Japanese yen” as well as “Japanese yen into foreign currency cash,” if available.

About a 5-minute walk from the North Exit of JR Himeji Station. Department store “Yamato yashiki” is located just inside Miyuki-dori Shopping Street, which runs parallel to and one street east of Otemae-dori Street connecting JR Himeji Station and Himeji Castle.

Large luggage such as suitcases that do not fit into coin-operated lockers can be checked in. There is no weight or size limit, and each piece of luggage can be left for 500 yen during business hours. In addition to cash, credit card payment is accepted. Be aware that the store is closed from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Specialty products of Harima are also available, so enjoy shopping while you are there.
