2.SAI-CAFE
15 minutes by cab from Himeji Station. “SAI-CAFE” is supervised by Chef Kusumoto of “Saido” in Jiyugaoka, Tokyo, which holds the title of the world’s best vegan restaurant.
While the entire menu, which is all vegan and made only with vegetables including ramen and curry, have been praised by foreigners, who say, “This is so good! I can’t believe that this is vegan! “or “There are not many vegan restaurants in Japan, so I’m very happy about it. ”

3.Sangohachi
The organic cafe “Sangohachi” is located right outside the ticket gate of JR Gochaku Station. Everything from the ingredients to the seasonings is completely organic, pesticide-free and free of additives and chemical seasonings.
The most popular lunch is the “weekly lunch”, available in two types, A and B, either of which includs no dairy products, eggs or meat for especially vegans.
The trays are filled with healthy dishes; a main dish, side dishes made from organic vegetables, rice blended with naturally grown Daishimochi barley and pound cake! The main dish, in particular, incorporates not only Japanese cuisine but also international ideas such as gluten-free barley noodle ramen, vegetable-filled poyo saltado and spiced pumpkin risotto.

If you get hungry, try the bread made from organic wheat and 21 organic cereals. A new sweet speciality, the “Barley Flour Pound Cake”, is of 100% naturally grown barley flour.
