The museum is so popular that car enthusiasts from all over Japan visit one after another! Whether you like cars or not, visit the museum as if you were going to an art museum.

・Directions to Torino Museum

Get off at JR Himeji Station and walk about 13 minutes.

Torino Museum is located about a 13-minute walk from the North Exit of JR Himeji Station. Walk west on Route 2 from Otemae Street, which extends from the station toward Himeji Castle, and then walk 250 meters north along the Senba River to find the Torino Museum. It is within walking distance from Himeji Castle, so it is easily accessible while strolling from the castle.

・Museum of rare vintage cars

Torino Museum displays some of the world’s rarest vintage cars. Visitors can view approximately 50 vintage and sports cars owned by the owner, who is from Himeji and a car enthusiast.

A renovated multi-story parking lot is the venue for the Round Exhibition, a stage for rare cars from the fourth to sixth floors. The vehicles are mainly Italian cars, which are popular overseas, as well as Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Rolls Royces, Bentleys, and other historical masterpieces from the 60s to the 80s. Although the cars are called “vintage” because of their age, they are all kept in beautiful condition.

・All the cars are kept in beautiful condition! Premium cars on display

The highlight of the exhibition is the Ferrari 288 GTO, of which only 272 were produced. Two were officially imported to Japan and one went overseas, so the only officially imported car still in existence in Japan is the one on display at the Torino Museum! Named as a special car, the “GTO” is a historical car favored by supercar fans all over the world.

In addition, the museum also exhibits rare vehicles such as custom cars and limited edition cars of famous people from around the world. The official website has a page explaining the cars in English, so you can use it as a reference for your viewing.

English descriptions of the vehicles are available here >>

・Torino Museum exclusive goods are also on sale

The Museum also sells exclusive merchandise available only at the Museum. Rare items such as towels, T-shirts, key chains, stickers, etc., are available only at the Museum. Get one as a souvenir of your trip.

On the 7th floor of the same building, there is also a café&dining bar “Corniche” with a view of Himeji Castle. It is the best location from which to view Himeji Castle and the Himeji cityscape.

After viewing the vintage cars at the museum, we recommend enjoying lunch or a café with a view of Himeji Castle.
