・Hokomichi Night Bar

On Sunday, November 16, the Hokomichi Night Bar will be held right in front of Sanyo Department Store, just a short walk from Sanyo and JR Himeji Stations!

“Hokomichi” refers to Pedestrian Priority Roads—streets designed to enhance walkability and comfort. In Himeji City, the goal is to transform sidewalks from mere transit spaces into vibrant and pleasant areas for people. As part of this initiative, the city is promoting activities along Otemae Street, its symbolic main avenue, to bring new energy and liveliness to the area.

On the day of the event, popular local food vendors will gather to transform the area in front of Himeji Station into a special one-day bar space. With local sake, craft beer, and delicious dishes to enjoy, there’s no doubt both your heart and stomach will be fully satisfied.

Tables and chairs will also be set up around the venue, allowing you to relax and enjoy the festive bar atmosphere while feeling the pleasant evening breeze.

In the coming weeks, additional events such as Illumineer Night Café and Illumineer Night Christmas will also be held, where you can enjoy gourmet food and market stalls alongside the “Himeji Otemae Street Illumination.” As the city lights up beautifully for the season, why not enjoy a heartwarming winter night together?
