“Pon! Himeji Ekimae Store” is a 5-minute walk from the North Exit of JR Himeji Station. It is in the Omizo-suji Shopping Arcade on the east side of Miyuki Street, which leads in a straight line from the station to Himeji Castle. Enjoy sightseeing in the Omizo-suji Shopping Arcade has about 70 unique stores for lunch, dinner, souvenir shops, etc.

The most popular item among foreigners is the premium capsule, which costs more than 2,000 yen. Inside are plastic models, such as “Ayanami Rei” from “Neon Genesis Evangelion,” which are surprisingly elaborate. Pre-painted, no other tools required. Just assemble the parts to complete the product.

Prepare 100 yen for the price. Slowly insert the required number of coins into the machine, one at a time. Turn the handle to the right 360°. After confirming that the capsule has fallen, remove it from the extraction slot. There’s an information board with instructions on how to play. You can find staff at any time, so ask questions.
